Do not ignore your weaknesses as you will need to make an honest assessment of you abilities, but do not dwell on them, as this will only give you reasons why you cannot do something.
Focus on what you are good at and look for ways to use them and improve on them. Of course, if you have a weakness or negative habit that is going to destroy your dreams, you will have to deal with that. But that does not apply to most people.
